Steve
Thorpe:
Born in Kentucky,
Steve Thorpe is currently living on the East Coast of Florida
in the U.S.A. Steve
is a straight-ahead aggressive blues guitar player and singer.
Even though known for his hard hitting Chicago/Texas style,
Steve will occasionally pull out a dobro and do a set of his
favorite delta songs if the mood hits and the crowd is right.
|
 |
 |
Steve
works through GBA Talent, Burbank, California, with Geoffrey
Blumenauer as president. Steve has been Geoff’s emergency
blues guitar slinger to cover shows with the likes of Gregg
Allman, Spencer Davis, Smokey Wilson and more. Plus Geoffrey,
(a.k.a. YN-3) pushes Steve’s live work and recordings.
Steve
and Geoff, besides being business associates, are also close
personal friends. They share exploding pistols, parking lots
in the middle of the night, and long train rides. |
|
All blues, all
the time...except when Todd Taylor calls and says bring
a dobro and lets do some pickin'. Steve grew up in Eastern
Kentucky listening to bluegrass his entire childhood. Steve
says that bluegrass style dobro is what led him ultimately
to the blues.

Bass
players:
David Pastorius, nephew of the late Jaco Pastorius is one
of the most ass kicking bass players and rocking funk maniac
you'll ever witness. Jaco would more than have his hands full
standing toe to toe with David in a funk off on stage if he
were still with us. Some artists ride a family name, while
some take it to the next level. David Pastorius is a bad,
bad man.......

Meekins, from Tampa Florida, has a history from the beginning

room to hold Buzzy's resume. Buzzy is one of the premier pocket
bassists to be found, and a true roaddog. Go to Buzzy's web
site and check his action out at www.blindbuzzard.com. |

Nathan
Thorpe, a whiz-kid. It looks as though Nathan will be
working for Disney for a while. He's 19 years old and has
been up to his neck in the music industry since birth. Up
until he started public school, he thought everybody played
one instrument or another.
